We are an Email Protection Service Provider. We have built an email spam and virus filtering service that removes annoying spam and dangerous viruses from your email account -
before you even download your mail!. There is no software to download, install or update, our service is completely independant of your computer.

Why does my email need to be filtered?
In one word: Protection. Filtering your email will save you valuable time and reduce your risk of virus, pornography and email scams.

What if I already have an antivirus program?
You can't have too much protection. Our system will only remove viruses from your email before you get it,
we do not remove viruses that might be already on your computer or that get transferred to your system by other means (downloading files, sharing computer disks, etc.). Over 83% of viruses are spread through email and we will remove those.
It is not necessary to remove your existing antivirus software in order to subscribe to our service.

FilterMy.Com refers as spam "emails which are transmitted in bulk, without the recipient's consent or request, usually in the form of commercial advertisements."

What happens to my filtered email?
All the email that is filtered out of your account (the spam) is temporarily stored on our servers (for 7 days). You can log into our spam viewer website and view your captured spam any time you like. If you wish, you can release the email and download it to your computer.

You trapped a legitimate email. What now?
No problem, it is not lost and it can be retreived.
We now offer a very comprehensive web interface through which you may
view/release filtered email (releasing emails automatically add that sender to your "approved senders" and will no longer be caught by the filter).

How does it work?
Our servers log into your current email account every 5 minutes, and download all your email. Our filter removes the spam and viruses, putting your legitimate email into your filtermy.com email box where you will pick it up.
Do I need to configure anything?
Yes.
In your email software, please change your POP3 server (or "incoming mail") setting to pop3.filtermy.com, and change your email address and password to your new filtermy.com email address.
What if my email address has changed, or I need to reset my password?
Please email us at support@filtermy.com.
How much email can I store?
There is a limit of 10 MB of space allocated for each account. This limit has been put in place in order to keep our entire system operating as efficiently as possible.
What if FilterMy can't connect in to my ISP to download the email?
No problem - Some ISP's do not allow connections to their POP servers from outside of their network. In many cases though, they will allow you to forward your email out to another address. Basically, you are getting a fully functional email address on FilterMy.Com and asking your ISP to forward your email to here. All email is filtered and delivered immediately.
